Your positive attitude is obvious and a sure winner for making things happen. Those who sit and wait will miss out. No doubt, you have enriched your life with new relationships and this will affect you for years to come..wherever you land. I appreciate you and know we would not have met if you hadn't been reaching out.

Congrats on all the prep work you did before your layoff. Even if you were just going through the motions while you were in denial, you went through the motions. That's much better than doing nothing. Too many people are completely unprepared when they are laid off, even though they saw the warning signs. I encourage people to think about their severance package and the things they want to negotiate. You can't do this on the spot, nobody thinks that fast. This was a very insightful and helpful article that I will refer to if and when I am faced with a similar situation. As someone who has been through 19 layoffs in an 11 year timeframe in the same industry, I can see how these points would be VERY helpful to someone going through layoffs. Great and informative article!
