LV Martin & Son, a huge Wellington based whiteware appliance dealer, had as their motto, “It's the putting right that counts.”

Alan Martin (the son, I believe) passed away not many years ago, but he used this same line in all his adverts where he appeared on TV. The firm was well known for service to customers and especially for after sales service.

Whatever happened to the line, “The customer is always right”?
