And I became "the bridge" between the pre-internet business and the transition to internet. I can feel where you are coming from. As for the question of knowing a lot about a little or a little about a lot, it depends on the goal. For most career phases, a lot about a little makes more money. (I have often hired contractors who were paid much more than me) Only at the very top level does it turn around and frankly when that happens it generally means that person knows A LOT about A LOT.
