In years past, a virus had weakened her heart to the extend that anesthesia was always going to be problematic. In many of the surgeries leading up to this one were alright because she had no feeling below the waste, so none was needed. However, this surgery required general anesthesia, and after the surgery she just never woke up. Her living will specified no life support was to be used to sustain her life should her brain activity stop.<br><br>In truth, the last time I saw her she really seemed ready to go. I think she had been in pain for so long that she finally felt that she could go home.<br><br>Thank you for your concern. It is greatly appreciated.
