    What about planning for the benefit of YOU, NOT YOUR SALES MANAGER?

    I hate to use this cliche, but "in these uncertain times..." personal planning is much better than planning on how you are going to make your "employer" more money next year. Sure, we all need to be accountable to "the company" - but only on a secondary level - be accountable to yourselves and your PERSONAL goals; these goals are set without your sales manager, and without a corporate trainer without HR in the room.
