In your same reference, in the footer this was said:

It also states that IE is so popular b/c it is the only installed browser on a computer out of the box (with users purchasing Windows of course). 

I would tend to agree with various sources I see, hear and read that IE is dominant, but slipping some market share. I am unclear as to whether this is simply from increased adoption from techie types, or if these techie-types are in positions of influence - thus they migrate family, friends, and their businesses over to Firefox.</description>
